I was really shocked by seeing the news in TV. Terrorists have captured two famous hotels, Taj and oberai. Also they have capture Nariman house in which Jews are staying there. I think this was targeted to attack the upper class of Mumbai and affect the tourism. But the only thing which is troubling me is why they captured Nariman house. Those Jews didn’t do anything and they are innocents. I don’t know why these heartless creatures are troubling the whole world. They have captured the beautiful Taj hotel and I was nearly turned to tears when I saw the Taj burning with fierce flames coming out of the roof. It is really a beautiful hotel located at the sea coast. I don’t know why they targeted the peaceful places of Mumbai. Only god has to answer these tough questions.

It was a terrific night for Mumbai people as an unexpected attack took place in Mumbai by the terrorists. On the previous day, I saw the news and all news channels were showing that it was a shootout happening in Mumbai. I got up the next day and found that it was a terrorist attack. Not only had they opened fire on innocent people but they had captured some people in various locations of the cities as hostages. Till now according to the info received, terrorists have captured two hotels in which many people are kept as hostages. I don’t know what they are going to do by them. They may demand something or they may simply kill them. Anything may happen, hope the people are saved from the hands of terrorists.

After effects
Sunday, November 16, 2008
As I told you people in my previous post, it took nearly a day for the fire fighters to put off the fire. Saravana stores is a shop which is not properly arranged. I have seen the stores in which different materials will be scattered here and there. I have seen wood items are piled one over the other and it will be kept like a store house and not like a shop. This irregular arrangement of materials gave a tough job to the fire fighters. It seems that they were unable to go inside and spray water to quench the fire. Also one more big challenge for fire fighters is bringing the fire fighting water carrier inside the street. Since shops were illegally built over the limit, it was a big task for fire fighters. Keeping this bitter incident in mind, govt. has to take necessary action to remove the illegal buildings.

Fire!!!!!!!!!!!
Sunday, October 12, 2008
Noboby expected such an incident in the most crowded shopping street in Chennai. I am talking about Ranganathan Street in Usman road, T.Nagar. It is the most crowded area in Chennai. Lots of people go there during festival seasons to purchase dress and other items. Today morning a disaster took place in Saravana stores, one of the leading shops in Ranganathan street. A big fire broke out in Saravana stores today morning. I just got up and saw the news that fire has broke out. The fire is still on and it’s not put out yet. I am sure that this task will be one of the most toughest task for the fire fighters as the street is very narrow and lots of items are filled in that shop. I think it will take days for the fighters to put out the fire. Lets pray god that causalities are very less.

Hats off !!!
Friday, September 26, 2008
Each and every citizen of India is impressed by an incident which happened in 1983. Even Sachin has told that he was impressed by the team India which won the world cup in 1983. Sachin has told that he was a 10 years old when they won the world cup. Also Sachin has told that if they have not won the world cup and inspired him, he would not have come to the world of cricket. It’s really lucky that he saw that match; else we would not have got such a great master blaster in our Indian cricket team. You are always a legend for us Kapil. You are the one who inspired Sachin and pulled him towards the line of cricket. Hats off to you.

BCCI shows no respect
Monday, August 11, 2008
It’s really disgusting that BCCI is again and again disturbing Kapil Dev. According to me Kapil Dev is the only captain who brought world cup for India. No one can near him as far as batting and bowling is concerned. Just since he started a rebel cricket club ICL, BCCI is always criticizing Kapil. BCCI is not giving even the minimum respect to be given to a former captain who brought pride to India by winning the world cup. In the name of corrective measures they are taking actions like banning ICL players and pulling players from ICL to IPL. I don’t know why BCCI is not taking ICL as a good competitor for their IPL. One should play a fair game when there is a competition. But BCCI is not doing that.

No more exams
Wednesday, July 16, 2008
All my exams are over. I think my college life has come to an end. It’s not that I am feeling bad for that. One side I am happy that I have completed my college life and the other side I am sad that I will never ever have this life back in my life time. On the other hand, I am happy that I am going to be a professional by entering into a software field. I don’t know whether I will like that job, but I will start earning money. I will take care of my expenses so that I won’t be a burden for my parents. Let’s see in my next post whether my professional life is a sweet or bitter fruit.

Pinhole glasses
Monday, June 9, 2008
Only a person who uses an eye glass knows the pain of using it. It’s really irritating these days for using these kinds of glasses. This is because of its fragile nature. Do you know how many times I broke my eye glasses and went to a nearby opticals shop to buy a new pair of glasses. Buying a new glass is not that easy. You have to order for the glasses and wait for nearly a day. Waiting for a day is not a problem. Your eye sight will not be clear for a day, that’s the problem. Not only this absence of eye glasses will create severe headache and you will not be able to concentrate on the works you do. A person who uses eye glasses will know these problems. But a solution is open for these problems. But the thing is you have to wear another glass. Don’t get shocked. This glass is for your own goodness. The glass is called pinhole glasses. This will help you to cure from any kind of diseases like myopia, hyperopia and many other diseases. A single glass will help you to do all these. Interesting isn’t it??? But this is true. Many these days go for laser operation which will help you to reduce the power and get rid of eye glasses. But there are lots of risks that you may loss your eye sight. A small amount of carelessness is enough for you to loss the eye power. So don’t take any risks by doing a laser operation. Just wear these pinhole eyeglasses. A pinhole glass will help you to do what a laser operation will do. Don’t just mistake yourself that this glass will be very costly, its just 29.99 dollars. Yet another delightful news for you is that its shipping cost is free. Just try these pinhole glasses and keep your eyes healthy.

Joginder did it for Dhoni again
Thursday, April 24, 2008
Yesterday I felt like I was watching World T20 finals again. It’s nothing but the thrilling match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in Chennai. Similar to the world cup finals, Joginder Sharma did it for Dhoni again. Chennai Super Kings won the nail biting match by 6 runs. Mathew Hayden’s and Suresh Raina’s partnership of 104 helped CSK to reach an excellent total of 208. Mumbai Indians didn’t take this match that easily. They chased the Himalayan target brilliantly. Uthappa and Nayar are responsible for this. When 15 runs were needed for Mumbai Indians to win the match in last over, Joginder’s brilliant bowling made them to score only 202. Tension added up when a no ball was bowled by Joginder in his last over. But he managed to bring a victory for CSK. This is the second victory for them in this season. Chennai Super Kings rocks.

20 overs match or 50 overs match???
Hey guys I have a small doubt, whether IPL is a 20 overs match or 50 overs match??? You may think that I am a mad man. But anyone who sees the score board of IPL matches will think that it’s a 50 overs match. Only if they see the overs, they will realise that it’s a 20 over match. First two matches of IPL crossed the score of 200. Chennai Super Kings who played yesterday comfortably scored a blisttering 240. Hussey smashed the ball all over the ground like a hurricane. He smashed 116 of just 54 balls. Chennai Super Kings won the match by 33 runs. I hope all the matches in IPL gives us a feast like this.

Great inaugural match for IPL
Saturday, April 19, 2008
Seeing an individual score of 158 in one day match itself is very rare. But the great man Brendon McCullum did this in inaugural T20 IPL match that too in just 73 deliveries. His 158 comprises of 13 sixes and 10 boundaries with a strike rate of 216.43. I was lucky to see the match yesterday. Already the inaugural IPL match was grand and McCullum’s raining sixes made the inaugural further more grand. He has now become the highest scorer in T20 matches and also highest six hitter in T20 matches. He didn’t even give a chance for the home team and brought a great victory for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Record breaks in India vs South Africa test series
Harbhajan Singh, with 19 wickets at an average of 26.10, has established an Indian bowling record for most wickets in a Test series against South Africa. Three Indian bowlers previously shared the said record with 18 wickets each - Anil Kumble in 1992-93; Javagal Srinath in 1996-97 and Sreesanth in 2006-07.
Harbhajan's match figure of 7-96 is the best by an Indian bowler against South Africa at Green Park, beating Srinath's figures of 6-80 in 1996-97.
Virender Sehwag (3/12 off 8.5 overs) registered his career-best bowling figures in an innings, bettering his 3 for 33 against West Indies at Gros Islet in 2006.
A B de Villiers (304) became the third South African to make 300 runs in the rubber after McKenzie (341) and Amla (307).
Rahul Dravid, with Paul Harris' catch, took his 172nd in Tests, overtaking New Zealand's Stephen Fleming's tally of 171 catches. He has thus moved into the second position behind Australia's Mark Waugh, who holds the world record for having taken 181.
Sehwag, with 372 runs (ave.74.40) and 6 wickets (ave.20.33), became the first Indian all-rounder to make 300 runs and claim 6 wickets in a Test series against South Africa.
Harbhajan has been adjudged the Man of the series for the third time in his career.
M S Dhoni became the eighth Indian captain to have recorded a Test triumph in his first ever Test as captain, joining Polly Umrigar, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag and Anil Kumble.
India recorded their second Test victory against South Africa at Green Park. They had won the 1996-97 Test by 280 runs.
India's win by eight wickets is their fifth in 22 Tests against South Africa. With the win, India equalled their previous biggest win in terms of wickets against South Africa. They had won the 2004-05 Kolkata Test against South Africa by a similar margin.
South Africa's 121 is their lowest innings total at Green Park, eclipsing their 177 in 1996-97.
South Africa's 121 total is their third lowest against India, next only to their 84 at Johannesburg in 2006-07 and 105 at Ahmedabad in 1996-97.
S Sreesanth and Ishant Sharma were associated in a partnership of 46, an Indian record for the tenth wicket at Kanpur's Green Park, bettering the 45 between Dilip Doshi and Karsan Ghavri against Pakistan in 1979-80.
S Sreesanth (29) posted his highest against South Africa, bettering his 28 at Kingsmead, Durban in December 2006.
Sreesanth, with his aforesaid knock, has emulated his previous best in India. He had posted an unbeaten 29 against England at Mumbai in 2006.
Paul Harris (3/101) produced his best figures in India, bettering his 3 for 203 at Chennai last month.
Neil McKenzie's wicket was Sreesanth's 50th in Tests.

BCCI selectors are fit for nothing
Recently BCCI is following a trend of selecting the future Indian cricket team. In the name of selecting future Indian cricket team, BCCI is continuously dropping senior players. I don’t think they will succeed in their mission without the senior players in the team. I have seen the batting line up of the young Indian team. This is the worst batting line up I have ever seen. If sachin goes out in a single digit, then batting line up will start to collapse. Dhoni will be the only man who will be struggling with the bat, sometimes Yuvraj. If Ganguly and Dravid were present in the team, I don’t think batting line up will be that worse as it is now. Experience plays a major role when they play with some senior teams like Australia and South Africa. No other country in this world neglects senior players like this for their team selection. I don’t know when BCCI will realize this.

Indian law
Each and every citizen in India knows that our Indian law has a very big loop holes. Yes it’s true, especially in the case of a rape. I was recently shocked by seeing a news in popular news channels that a mentally disabled 12 year old girl who cannot speak or hear was raped by a 27 year old bus driver who is staying as a tenant in their house. I was shocked when I saw this news. Is he a man or a beast??? If he rapes a 20 year old girl, we can tell that he was attracted by her figures. But he has raped a minor girl that too who is not mentally fit. Is he a psycho or what??? Why these kind of rapes increasing recently??? Only because of non availability of strict punishments for rape in Indian law. If I am not wrong, 7 years of jail is the punishment for a raping a girl. Is a girl’s virginity is worth only for 7 years of jail??? This is really disgusting. That too that concerned person will not stay in jail for 7 years, he will come out in bail in 2 or 3 years. But what about that girl’s life??? I have seen in some muslim countries that the man’s thing which made him to rape that girl ill be cut in front of her. If this punishment is given in India, let me see who is daring to rape a girl in India. Until or unless punishments are severe, unlawful things will happen in India.

Peas - Bhupathi conflict again
Friday, April 11, 2008
AITA conflict has again started to show its head due to recent comments by Leander Paes on Mahesh Bhupathi. Mahesh Bhupathi has already asked AITA to ask Paes to step down from the post of captain. Now Peas said that the decision to play doubles with Mahesh Bhupathi was the worst decision he made in his career. He also said that he sacrificed his singles career by opting to play doubles with Mahesh Bhupathi in the late 1990s. This is wht he exactly told in an interview
“When I was at the top of my singles career, I actually sacrificed my rankings to play Satellites and Future tournaments with him so that he could be at par with me which would help us get entry into ATP tournaments. Though everyone advised me not to pick up a rookie player like Mahesh, my instincts told me to take him along. Now, when I look back, I regret the fact that I sacrificed my singles career for him. I had won the Pilot Pen International tournament beating the top players of the world, including Pete Sampras and reached a world ranking of 73 in 1998. Going by my performance then, I should have focused on singles. Opting to play doubles with Mahesh was probably the worst decision of my playing career.”
This statement will surely create some problem in AITA again. All this started after winning gold in DOHA Asian games 2006 Bhupathi came out and said that he would never play with Paes any more. But Paes is likely to team up with Mahesh to represent India in the doubles event of the Beijing Olympics in August.

Shreya or Vijayashanthi????
Shivaji star and our dream girl Shreya Saran turned into Vijayashanthi in Thirupathi temple. Shreya slapped a man who misbehaved to shreya outside the Thirupathi temple. It seems that Shreya came out of the temple after the dharshan and found a man standing behind her. When he tried to misbehave to her, she turned around and slapped him. It seems that he is a security in that temple. In an interview, Shreya told eve teasing and any kind of misbehavior in public places is unacceptable. There will be no eve teasing in our country if each and every girl is like Shreya.

Sachin’s dream came alive today
Sunday, March 2, 2008
Sachin has at last reached a ton in Australia (I was biting my nails today when Sachin was in 99.). Sachin reached his 42nd ton in ODI. This is Sachin’s first ton in Australia. Even though Sachin had 41 tons in ODIs, the only thing remaining was the absence of a ton in Australia in ODI. He reached that ton in the first finals of Common Wealth Bank series today. Now the most experienced batsman in the world has hit a ton in all the countries. Sachin is ruling the international cricket.
Match fixing returns
Friday, February 29, 2008
Indian police are experts in the investigation of match fixing in cricket. Yes, its true, match fixing has started to show its ugly face again. The man caught this time is West Indies all rounder Marlon Samuels. It has been confirmed that Marlon Samuels exchanged match information with the bookie Kochar. He leaked information about pitch condition, batting lineup etc. Kochar has a close relationship with Dawood Ibrahim. It’s not sure whether he intentionally underperformed in that match. Now ICC has asked WICB to undergo an investigation in this matter. The point to be noted in this is that last week, Marlon Samuels was suspended from bowling in international cricket matches by ICC as the off break conditions of his bowling exceeded the limit fixed by ICC.

What the hell is happening in the world of cricket????
I have told many times in my other blogs that this Indians tour to Australia is the most controversial one. Now, recently, yet another controversy has emerged. Australian opener Mathew Hayden called Indian spinner Bhajji as “obnoxious little weed”. Mathew Hayden told this statement to a radio station in Brisbane during an interview
“It's been a bit of a long battle with Harbhajan. The first time I ever met him he was the same little obnoxious weed that he is now”
After getting this news, the only question that came to my mind is that why Australians are criticizing their opponents like this. Australians are the world champions, but where is the sportsmanship in them???? A champion without sportsmanship is not actually a champion. Is this the team which was led by the great Don Bradman and Steve Waugh??? Why Ricky’s men started sledging their opponents??? This is not the sign of true sportsmanship. I am watching cricket from 1995, I have never seen a series with these many controversies. Exchanging of statements, ICC not taking any severe action against Australian players, what else??? I hope I wont see any other series like CB series in future.
Letter wrote by a cricket fan to Ricky Ponting
Dear Ricky,
Humility makes men look twice as honourable.
As an impressionable youth who started following cricket in the early 90s, your team found a fan in one for the resilient brand of cricket it played under Mark Taylor and Steve Waugh.
As someone who appreciates cricket played the hard way, nothing gladdened one's heart more than the sight of a brave Steve Waugh scoring two hundreds on one leg in the Ashes of 1997, or the punts Taylor took to inject life into dead games, often thinking more about cricket's interest than winning or losing.
Allan Border made your team courageous. Taylor made them consistent, and Waugh took them to invincibility. Yet, these three eras had one thing in common: the will to win wasn't alienated from respect for opponents. Australia was the team one loved to see win. Also because its players were never heard on radio calling an opponent an "obnoxious little weed."
Which brings us to you and your men, Ricky.
There's no doubting your muscle. Australia are strong as a thoroughbred, making cricket look like a one-horse race.
But when it comes to humility, you are as graceless as a three-legged donkey.
Are you from the same country as the great Bradman, whose greatness was matched only by the modesty and gentleness with which he was known to conduct himself?
When one looks at the Australian team today, one sees a bunch of smug beings who lack respect for their peers, and are given to dishonesty and double-speak (as we saw in Sydney, twice over) and their desire to win is as conspicuous by its presence as their arrogance.
For the Don's sake, Ricky, open your eyes. Are you blind? Do you not see what you've done to your team's reputation?
Why is that team after team has a problem with the conduct of your men? Why must the talk of sledging arise only when Australia play? Graeme Smith, Stephen Fleming, Rahul Dravid, Mahela Jayawardene, Brian Lara, Inzamam-ul Haq --- is there a captain in your time who hasn't had a problem with the unsubtle abuse your team has subjected him to?
Has the meaning of the word 'decent' changed since the time one looked it up? Or must your desire to win overpower everything considered decent on a cricket field?
Don Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Justin Henin, Tiger Woods --- are these small names? No. Are they great? Yes. Do we love them? Yes. Why?
One word: grace.
We stood up and applauded Taylor when he laid West Indies and South Africa low. We felt a lump in our throats when Steve Waugh bid the game goodbye. You too are nearing the end of your career, Ricky. And though you are a fine player, one doubt if you'd ever be loved and remembered the way your predecessors are.
Here you are, having won every accolade imaginable at cricket's highest stage. A World Cup here, a Champions Trophy there, Ashes now, a Frank Worrell then, there's nothing left for you to win.
Yet there's one thing you may never be able to win as captain.
Hearts.
Sincerely,
A Cricket Fan
